Daily Songwriter Privacy

Privacy

Daily Songwriter collects nothing.

That is the whole policy. The rest of this page only explains why there is nothing to explain.

No accounts, no server

There is no sign-in, because there is nothing to sign in to. The app has no server of its own and sends nothing anywhere.

What you write

Your writing is stored on your device by the app. It is never transmitted to us, because there is no us to transmit it to. If you delete the app, it goes with it. Export first if you want to keep it.

No analytics, no tracking, no advertising

The app contains no analytics library, no crash reporter, no advertising identifier and no third-party SDK of any kind. Nobody is counting your taps.

Notifications and the widget

A reminder, if you turn one on, is scheduled by your own device. The home screen widget reads the day and the word from a container the app writes on the same device. Neither reaches a server, and neither can see anything you wrote.

The purchase

The one purchase is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details, your name or your Apple Account. We receive the same anonymous, aggregated sales report any developer receives, which contains nothing about you.

Children

The app collects nothing from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If a future version ever collects anything, this page will say so plainly before it ships, and the App Store privacy label will change with it.
